What is West Atlanta Primary Care (WAPC)?
WAPC is a gateway to your health. Our goal is to build lifelong, entrusting relationships with our patients and provide the most up-to-date, evidence-based medicine for the best outcomes. We specialize in chronic and limited acute conditions — managing your physical, mental, and emotional health while coordinating care with subspecialists when needed.
Why do I need a primary care physician (PCP)?
Just as a car needs routine services, so does your body. Regular check-ups prevent complications before they start. Your PCP uses your full medical, family, and social history to personalize your care and reduce long-term healthcare costs through preventative measures.
I'm healthy and don't get sick — why do I need a PCP?
It is important to catch illnesses before they show any signs and symptoms — at which point, it may be too late. A PCP provides preventative care including immunizations, age-related screenings, regular labs, and lifestyle guidance to keep you that way.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring your insurance card, a valid photo ID, and payment for any co-pays, co-insurance, and non-covered services. Arriving a few minutes early gives us time to get you checked in smoothly.
When should I call to schedule an appointment?
As soon as you're ready! We'll do our best to get you on our schedule as soon as possible. Call us at (678) 401-4597 during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Can I get a same-day appointment?
Yes. We welcome same-day visits based on availability. Please call us to determine if you need to be seen and we'll find the earliest available time.
Do you offer telemedicine?
All new patients are required to be seen in person to establish care. For existing patients, we offer secure telemedicine visits by phone or video. Contact us to schedule a virtual visit.
Do I have to pay to access the Patient Portal and the healow app?
Access to our Patient Portal and the healow app are completely free for all patients.
Is my information secure online?
Yes, your information is completely secure. It is protected with a username and password or PIN number of your choice, and all data is transmitted through SSL encryption.
What can I access through the healow app and Patient Portal?
Through the portal and app, you can view your health information, test results, visit summaries, and more — helping you stay informed and make better decisions about your care.
How do I sign up for the Patient Portal?
You'll receive a username and temporary password from our practice via email after your first visit. You can print it out and customize your login after your initial sign-in.
What if I forget my username or password?
The healow app and Patient Portal both allow self-service password resets. If you continue to have trouble, contact our front desk and a staff member will assist you.
What if I need technical assistance?
User support is built directly into the web portal and the healow app. You can also ask any member of our staff for help at your next visit or by phone.
